Registering with the Health Centre

Your eligibility to register is dependent on your status as a student, staff or local resident.

Students

We register students studying at Imperial, Royal College of Art and Royal College of Music. Registration eligibility is dependent on where you study. Your home address will determine if you are registered as an NHS patient or NHS out of area patient. We do not advise registering with us if you live outside of London.

Students with home post codes starting with one of the following will be registered as an NHS patient.

  • SW1, SW3, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW10
  • W1, W2, W4, W6, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W14
  • WC1, WC2
  • N1*, N5, N6, N7
  • NW1, NW3, NW5, NW8

*Not all of N1 is covered by the Health Centre.

If you do not live in one of the postcodes above, you will be registered as an out of area patient, if it is clinically appropriate and practical to do so. We do not offer home visiting or out of hours care to our out of area patients, but you will have access to all of our other services.


Imperial Students

Imperial College undergraduate and postgraduate students at one of the following campuses are eligible to register at the Health Centre;

  • South Kensington Campus (including Marsden and Brompton)
  • St Mary’s Campus
  • White City
  • Charing Cross & Hammersmith Campus (undergraduate and graduate medical students MBBS only)


Royal College of Art and
Royal College of Music Students

All Royal College of Art and Royal College of Music students are eligible to register with the Health Centre.


Staff

Staff with contract employments directly with either Imperial, Royal College of Art or the Royal College of Music may register with the practice if their home post code starts with the following.

List of eligible postcodes
  • SW1, SW3, SW5, SW6, SW7, SW10
  • W1, W2, W4, W6, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W14
  • WC1, WC2
  • N1*, N5, N6, N7
  • NW1, NW3, NW5, NW8

*Not all of N1 is covered by the Health Centre.

We are unable to register family members unless they live in our local catchment area below.

Imperial College Health Centre is open to eligible NHS patients who live within our local practice boundary which is a small section of SW7. Please contact our administration team for further information on our local practice boundary.

All information given to the practice is treated as confidential and would only be disclosed within the legal requirements of the data protection act.
